This Privacy Policy explains how Spoyzen ("we," "us," or "our") processes information when you play SnapWorks: Flip Corp on Meta Quest. It covers the game, its Meta Horizon Platform features, online leaderboards, and gameplay analytics. Information collected when you visit snapvr.io is covered separately by our Website Privacy Policy.

01 Scope and Responsibility

Spoyzen is responsible for the developer-controlled processing described in this policy. Meta and Unity also process information through their own platform services under their respective privacy policies.

This policy applies to all players regardless of geographic location. Our data deletion process described below is available to every player and is not limited to any particular country or region.

02 Information We Process

Meta account and platform data

  • Meta User ID, which is a persistent account identifier and is not anonymous
  • Your Meta display name or Meta username
  • App entitlement status used to confirm that the account is authorized to run the game
  • Friend-filtered leaderboard results returned by Meta when you open the Friends leaderboard

We use this information only to authenticate platform access and provide account-related features, including Global and Friends leaderboards. We do not receive your Meta password, Meta account email address, or payment details.

Leaderboard data

  • Your submitted score, leaderboard rank, difficulty, selected role, victory status, completed rounds, grade, score-format version, and game version
  • Your Meta display name or username, which Meta associates with the leaderboard entry

Your leaderboard entry is stored by Meta. The game does not create a separate database containing your Meta friend list.

Unity Gaming Services and gameplay analytics

  • A pseudonymous Unity Player ID generated through Unity Authentication and a temporary player name derived from that ID
  • Session and run identifiers, game version, level or round, difficulty, gameplay outcomes, combat statistics, item and upgrade choices, tutorial progress, and interactions with game features
  • Device model, operating system version, graphics processor, general network connection type, frame-rate and performance measurements, and limited diagnostic or error information
  • Standard connection information, such as an IP address, may be processed by Unity or Meta when data is transmitted to their services

Unity Analytics data is pseudonymous, not guaranteed to be fully anonymous. We do not intentionally include your Meta User ID, Meta username, Meta display name, or Meta friend list in Unity Analytics events.

Data stored locally on your device

  • Privacy-notice status, language and comfort settings, save progress, unlocks, local gameplay history, and pending scores
  • A limited local analytics queue may be stored temporarily if an upload cannot be completed and retried when service becomes available

Eligible save files may also be backed up by Meta’s Cloud Backup feature, depending on your Meta account and device settings.

We do not ask you to provide your legal name, email address, postal address, phone number, payment information, or precise location through the game. Your chosen Meta display name may contain your real name if you have configured it that way.

03 How We Use the Information

We process the information described above to:

  • Verify entitlement and enable Meta account features
  • Submit scores and display Global and Friends leaderboards
  • Operate saves, settings, progression, and other core game functions
  • Understand gameplay balance, difficulty, progression, and feature use
  • Diagnose crashes, errors, performance issues, and service failures
  • Protect the integrity and security of the game and comply with platform requirements

We do not use Meta platform data for advertising, cross-app tracking, or building advertising profiles.

04 Leaderboards and Public Visibility

The Global leaderboard may display your Meta display name or username, score, rank, and related run summary to other players. The Friends leaderboard displays comparable information for leaderboard entries returned by Meta’s Friends filter.

Do not use a Meta display name that you do not want other leaderboard users to see. Your Meta User ID is used internally for platform requests and is not intentionally shown as a public leaderboard label.

05 Service Providers and Sharing

We use only the services needed to operate the features described in this policy:

  • Meta Platforms Technologies — entitlement, Meta User ID and profile access, Friends-filtered leaderboard queries, leaderboards, and eligible Cloud Backup. See the Meta Privacy Policy.
  • Unity Technologies — pseudonymous authentication and Unity Analytics used for gameplay and technical analysis. See Unity’s Game Player and App User Privacy Policy.

We do not sell or rent player data. We may disclose information when required by law, to protect users or the service, or to service providers acting for the purposes described above. We do not authorize service providers to use Meta platform data for unrelated purposes.

06 Storage, Transfers, Security, and Retention

Local game data is stored on your device. Online leaderboard and analytics data is stored or processed on Meta and Unity infrastructure. These providers may process data in countries other than the country where you live, subject to their terms, privacy policies, and applicable transfer safeguards.

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect developer-controlled information. No storage or transmission method is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

Local data remains until it is cleared, overwritten, or the game is uninstalled. Leaderboard entries may remain until they are replaced, the leaderboard is reset, or a valid deletion request is completed. Analytics data is retained according to our Unity service configuration and Unity’s applicable retention practices. We retain identifiable information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, legal obligations, dispute resolution, and security.

07 Your Choices and Data Deletion

The current version shows a privacy notice the first time it is launched. Selecting Continue enables the online platform services and Unity Analytics described in this policy. You may stop future use of these services by discontinuing use of the game or uninstalling it. Uninstalling the game does not automatically delete information that was previously submitted to Meta or Unity.

How to request deletion

Any player, regardless of location, may request deletion by emailing hi@spoyzen.com with the subject SnapWorks Data Deletion Request.

Please include:

  • The game title: SnapWorks: Flip Corp
  • Your Meta username or display name
  • If available, the difficulty, approximate score, and approximate date of your leaderboard entry, which can help us locate the correct record
  • Whether you want leaderboard data, analytics data, or all identifiable game data deleted

Do not send us your Meta password, payment details, or other sensitive credentials. We may request reasonable verification to avoid deleting another player’s data.

After verification, we will delete applicable Meta leaderboard entries and other identifiable data under our control, and submit or coordinate applicable deletion requests with Unity or other service providers. If additional information is needed to locate pseudonymous analytics data, we will explain what is required. We aim to respond within 30 days, or sooner where applicable law requires.

Data that has been aggregated or de-identified so that it can no longer reasonably be linked to you may not be identifiable for deletion. Limited records may also be retained where required by law or necessary to document that a deletion request was completed.

Deleting local data

You can remove local save and settings data by clearing the app’s storage or uninstalling the game. Meta Cloud Backup copies are controlled through Meta’s platform and account settings. Clearing local data does not delete previously submitted leaderboard or analytics data; use the email process above for those records.

08 Children’s Privacy

The game is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly request personal information directly from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has provided data through the game, contact us using the deletion process above.

09 Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when our game features, service providers, or legal obligations change. The revised date will appear at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated through an appropriate notice where required.
